We are holding a fundraiser at the Washington Wetlands Trust to help raise funds to replace the dome of the Cygnus Observatory within the grounds of the WWT; the dome is staring to get a bit leaky and is in need of replacing. Whilst doing this we are also looking to upgrade the mount for the Meade 14″ LX200 telescope.
We will have scopes galore for all to look through as well as hot drinks and NEW SAS Key-rings to purchase – all in aid of the new dome.
The night kicks of at 6.30 pm and goes on until the last one leaves! Tickets are an astronomically cheap with a minimum donation of £2 and all funds go towards the dome Tickets are available on the door.
Please feel free to share this post with all of your friends on Facebook and Twitter and we hope to see you there.
