Face Coverings Usage at the Cygnus Observatory and Wetlands Centre
From 19 July 2021, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear face coverings in indoor settings or on public transport.
Lifting restrictions does not mean the risks from COVID-19 have disappeared, but at this new phase of the pandemic response the government are moving to an approach that enables personal risk-based judgments.
While no situation is risk free, there are actions we can take to protect ourselves and others around us.
We expect and recommend that members of the public continue to wear face coverings in crowded and enclosed spaces where you come into contact with people you don’t normally meet.
Therefore currently, for the safety of our SAS members and the Public the SAS would prefer members of the Public and SAS Members to wear face coverings (if it possible and they are not exempt) where it’s deemed applicable.
An SAS notice will be placed on the front door entrance of the Wetlands Centre outlining the prefered use of face coverings.
Suitable Hand Sanitisers will be located in the Observatory and in the Wetlands Centre Discovery Room for use for the Public and SAs Members to utilise.
